About this work

A black and white engraved print shows a kneeling woman offering a basket holding an infant to a richly dressed woman in a headdress and jewelry, while attendants stand nearby under palm trees. In the background, pyramids and a stone building line a riverbank where small figures go about their work. The print was issued by Brødr. Backhausen in 1889.
