About this work
A hand-colored engraved celestial planisphere of the northern sky, cut along the equator, shows constellations and zodiac signs in a circular field with star magnitudes indicated in a key. Four vignettes of observatory buildings, labeled Specola di Pisa, Bologna, Padova and Milano, frame the central chart.
