About this work
A hand-coloured engraved chart titled Mappa dell'Universo shows two circular diagrams side by side, one for the Ptolemaic system and one for the Copernican system, each with concentric planetary orbits and a zodiac ring. A small engraving of Saturn with its rings sits between them at the bottom, and a cartouche at the top carries the title and date.
