This oval etching shows a bearded figure sprawled on the ground while two lions attack him inside an enclosed arena, with onlookers watching from the wall above. The inscriptions read S. Marinus Senex M. and the numeral 8 with Aug, identifying the August 8th entry. The print is attributed to Jacques Callot and comes from the series Les Images de tous les Saincts et Saintes de l'Année.
