About this work
This etching by Anders Zorn, dated 1894, shows a nude woman standing on a grassy shore draped with a netted cloth beside the water. A sailboat with a raised sail rests on the water behind her, and dense hatching renders the bank and foliage. The work is held in The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
