About this work
A woman in a dark bodice and lace collar leans to kiss the forehead of a boy in a grey jacket, while a servant in a white apron and cap stands beside a laid table with peaches and a silver teapot. The domestic interior includes a patterned folding screen, a red upholstered chair and stool, and a framed floral painting above. Jean-Baptiste Antoine Emile Béranger painted this work in 1856, and it is held by the Hermitage Museum.
