About this work
This etching shows a cluster of figures in close arrangement, including a bearded man in a cloak at center, a helmeted figure in armor on the right, and a dog at lower right. The fine hatched linework and sketched hands and faces are typical of the printmaking associated with James Ensor, dated 1888.
