About this work
An engraved print showing three bound figures in a fiery furnace, with an angel standing among the flames in the central opening. Soldiers tend the furnace with long poles on the right, while a crowd gathers before a statue on a pedestal in the distance. The print is credited to Maarten van Heemskerck and dated 1565, with a Latin inscription along the lower edge.
