About this work
A lithograph titled L'Internationale shows a crowd of workers marching behind a large banner bearing the title in bold lettering, with flags raised at the left edge. Figures in heavy coats and caps press forward in a dense, dark mass rendered with crayon-like texture, and the signature Steinlen appears at lower left. The print is dated 1895 and is held by Wikimedia Commons.
