About this work
A lithographic drawing shows a man with wire-rimmed glasses resting his head on one hand while holding a pen over a desk. A bottle labeled quinine, a box labeled Antipyrine, and a glass sit beside him, suggesting illness. The sheet carries the caption Onze Teekenaar en de Influenza and is a supplement to the Amsterdammer weekly of 12 January 1890, reproduced in 1907 by Johan Braakensiek.
