About this work

This etching shows a busy London street scene centred on Westminster Bridge, with horse-drawn carriages and crowds of pedestrians moving toward the clock tower in the distance. Smaller vignettes around the border depict river vessels, a steamship, a dome-topped skyline and a bridge, with a 'To Let' sign and scaffolding on the right. The print was made by Félix-Hilaire Buhot in 1884.
