This etching shows a rain-soaked city quay with several horse-drawn carriages parked along the street, their wheels and horses reflected in the wet pavement. Tall stone buildings with steep roofs and smoking chimneys line the right side, while pedestrians, one holding an umbrella, stand near the curb under gas street lamps. The work is attributed to Félix-Hilaire Buhot, dated 1876, and titled Une Matinée d'Hiver au Quai de l'Hotel-Dieu.
