About this work

A charcoal-like drawing shows the clock tower and Gothic architecture of the Palace of Westminster across a busy street, with a horse-drawn carriage and walking pedestrians in the foreground. The overcast sky and soft tonal shading give the scene a hazy, atmospheric quality. The work is titled The Victoria Clock Tower London, is attributed to Félix-Hilaire Buhot, and is dated 1892.
