About this work
This engraved print shows the walls of Jericho collapsing in a cloud of masonry while priests carry the Ark of the Covenant and trumpeters blow horns in the foreground. Armored soldiers advance on the right beside a ruined city with towers and a domed building. The Latin caption below refers to the walls falling at the sound of trumpets.
