About this work
This engraved print shows armored horsemen and foot soldiers in a dense battle scene, with a crowded column of pikes and banners advancing toward a walled city gate. In the foreground, richly decorated knights on caparisoned horses dominate the composition, while a fallen horse lies among discarded weapons.
