This hand-colored print shows a view from the Furka pass in the canton of Uri, with a glacier descending between rocky slopes toward snow-capped peaks. Small groups of travelers stand on the grassy foreground ridge while others make their way along the valley floor. The work is attributed to David Alois Schmid and carries the French caption "Vue prise au passage de la Furka Cant. d'Ury".
