About this work
This lithograph depicts the tall keep of the Château de Polignac rising above a rocky outcrop, seen across a shadowed stone courtyard framed by weathered buildings. Dramatic clouds fill the sky above the ruined fortress. The print is titled Donjon du Château de Polignac, Auvergne, and is attributed to Eugène Isabey, dated 1830 on the sheet.
