About this work
An engraved allegorical scene shows a richly dressed female figure seated on an ornate chariot pulled by two rearing horses, holding a mirror and accompanied by a peacock and several attendant figures. Classical monuments, an obelisk and an amphitheatre fill the background, and a Latin verse inscription runs along the lower margin.
