About this work
This engraved print presents a central panoramic view of the town of Sion, with its castle-topped rocky hill, surrounding vineyards and mountain ridges, framed by smaller vignettes of streets, churches, bridges and a waterfall. The bilingual German and French captions indicate it shows the town's interior and most notable surroundings.
