About this work
This sepia-toned print presents a central panoramic view of the town of Stanz in Nidwalden, framed by surrounding mountains, with a church spire rising above the houses. Smaller vignettes around the border show the town square, the town hall room, a shooting range, a tower, a chapel, a waterfall and a lakeside scene.
