About this work

A lithographic group portrait shows a cluster of young men in dark hussar-style uniforms with ornate light braided cords and frogging across the chests. Several officers sit in the foreground with sabers resting across their laps or held at their sides, while others stand or lean in the rows behind them. The print is a 1850 work by Josef Kriehuber, recorded on Wikimedia Commons as the first sheet of the Offiziere k. k. Husarenregiment Nr. 9 series.
