A watercolor and ink drawing shows a stag cornered at the edge of a pond while hounds close in around it. Mounted hunters in green and red coats ride through an open woodland, with a rider in a light dress among them. Thomas Rowlandson made this work in 1795, and it is titled Stag at Bay - Scene near Taplow, Berks.
