About this work

A pencil and grey wash drawing shows two greyhounds lying on the ground beneath a spreading tree. One dog in the foreground rests its head low with legs stretched out, while the second dog lies behind it, its long body partly hidden in shadow. The leafy canopy above is rendered in loose, scribbled strokes.
