An oval painting shows a young woman in a cream and pink dress seated beside a young man in blue breeches and a red vest, who reclines on the grass and looks up as she lowers a cherry toward his mouth. A basket of cherries, wooden clogs, and a glass bottle rest near them under a large leafy tree. The work is signed and dated by François Boucher in the lower right corner, dated 1758.
