About this work

The cover of La tour enchantée shows a tall, fantastical tower rising above a city of gabled houses, with a dragon climbing its side. Below, a sea serpent with tentacles surrounds small boats carrying figures in period dress, while a dressed gentleman stands on an ornate balcony at the left. The title and author name appear in decorative lettering above, and the publisher details are printed at the foot of the page. Albert Robida made this print in 1881.
