About this work
An engraved print shows a chariot drawn by horses, with Cupid aiming a bow from a cloud of flame at the top right, and Jupiter seated beside a crowned figure. Classical-style figures in robes walk alongside the chariot, and a small temple stands on a hill in the distance. Latin inscriptions appear along the lower margin, and the work is credited to Maarten van Heemskerck.
