A lithograph titled Femme triste by Théophile Alexandre Steinlen shows a woman in a dark hooded garment turned in profile, seated beside a doorway with stacked stone steps. Heavy crayon-like hatching builds deep shadow across the figure and door, while the woman's face and the lower steps catch pale light. The sheet carries Steinlen's signature in red and a single-state printing notation.
