About this work
This etching shows a dense group of robed figures gathered beneath a heavy draped canopy, with a few faces turned toward a central cluster. Figures on the right reach upward while a dark, contorted form sprawls at the lower left. The print is attributed to Francisco Goya and is part of his series Los Proverbios, plate 15, titled Disparate claro.
