About this work

An engraved allegorical scene shows a seated female figure holding an olive branch and a cornucopia overflowing with fruit, labelled PAX. Beside her, a richly dressed woman with money bags and coins suggests wealth, while putti play in the foreground among musical instruments, a globe, and scientific tools. A townscape with a church spire, a crowd, and a wagon fills the background.
