About this work
A lithographic print in dark tones shows a line of ragged, bowed figures at left approaching a robed woman who reaches toward them at right, beneath a wall inscription reading "Égalité Fraternité". The sheet carries a printed header announcing a charity festival for the Vestiaire association of the 18th arrondissement, and a "Programme 0.10" label. The work is dated 1903 and signed by Théophile Alexandre Steinlen.
