About this work
A red chalk style print shows a young woman's head tilted downward in left profile, with her eyes lowered and her hair swept back and falling onto her neck. The engraved inscription at the bottom identifies the design as after François Boucher and the reproduction as by Demarteau l'Aîné, taken from the Bergeret cabinet, Paris.
