About this work
A nude woman with dark hair pinned up stands on a sandy slope beside the sea, looking down toward the grasses at her feet. The loose, rapid brushwork renders the pale sea, warm sand and green marsh grass in soft pinks, browns and greens. Titled Sandhamn effect, this 1914 work is attributed to Anders Zorn.
