About this work
This engraved print shows a view of the town of Sitten, with a fortified castle set on a rocky outcrop above rows of buildings and a church tower. Steep mountains rise in the background, while cattle graze and a figure stands in the foreground beside a large tree. The work is credited to David Alois Schmid as the draftsman, with the engraver's signature also visible below the image.
