About this work

A hand-colored etching shows two reclining nude women in a wooded setting, with a bow and arrows nearby and hunting dogs in the foreground beside a dead hare. Two bearded satyrs peer in from behind a draped red curtain and tree trunk, while the artist's signature and the engraver's credit appear in the lower corners.
