This hand-colored print from Thomas Rowlandson's "World in Miniature" series shows three stacked vignettes of rural and leisure life. The upper scene depicts villagers and a seated man beside a thatched cottage with a horse-drawn cart, the middle scene shows a loaded hay wagon with workers and horses, and the lower scene shows people relaxing by a river with a sailboat and distant ruins. The plate is labeled as published April 1, 1826, at R. Ackermann's, 101 Strand.
