A hand-colored etching by Thomas Rowlandson, titled Plate 39 from "World in Miniature", shows a chaotic racecourse scene with galloping horses, riders thrown to the ground, and an overturned carriage in the foreground. A crowd of spectators on a wagon watches at right, while carriages and horsemen recede across a green open landscape under a pale sky. The sheet bears the imprint noting publication by R. Ackermann at 101 Strand, dated October 1, 1816.
