This etching shows a stand of tall trees in a park, with light falling through the foliage onto a grassy ground in broad bands of shadow. The branches reach across the upper part of the sheet, while the background recedes into a row of trees and open space. Francis Seymour Haden made this print, titled Kensington Gardens, no. 2 (large plate), in 1860.
