About this work

This painted landscape shows a tall white tower rising above a line of trees and a grassy meadow, with a distant stretch of water and a red flag visible beyond. A seated figure in red breeches rests in the foreground beside a low wooden fence, while a pale building with a red roof sits at the left edge under a sky of soft cumulus clouds.
