About this work

Clipping Cupid's Wings by Henri-Pierre Picou is a painting showing a small winged Cupid sprawled on the grass while three women gather around him. One woman holds a bow aloft, another kneels to cut the wings with a pair of scissors, and a third steadies the child, while more winged figures drift in the sky behind them.
