About this work
This hand-coloured print presents an interior view of Westminster Hall, showing the long vista of pointed gothic arches and the elaborate timber roof structure above. Groups of figures in late eighteenth-century dress walk across the stone floor toward a glowing stained glass window at the far end. The work is titled Internal View of Westminster Hall, produced by George Hawkins and dated 1801.
