About this work
This 1890 poster by Jules Chéret advertises the Grands Magasins de la Moissonneuse department store and its linen exhibition. A woman in a headscarf and dark apron holds a sickle beside a sheaf of wheat, against a muted green-grey background with bold dark lettering.
