About this work
A watercolor and pencil view shows a pale limestone fortress wall with a large round tower on the right, rising above a cluster of wooden rooftops and white church domes. In the foreground, boats with furled and raised sails are loaded with bundles and crowds of figures work along a riverside landing beside log structures. This work by Apollinary Vasnetsov is dated 1922 and is held by the Museum of Moscow.
