A woman in a gold gown and billowing red cloak rides a pale horse beside a dark horse through shallow, splashing water near a large tree. She raises one arm toward the sky while a stormy blue and rose twilight sky and distant hills fill the background. This oil painting by François Gérard, dated 1829, is held by the Currier Museum of Art under the title Cloetia.
