A reclining nude woman lies face down across a large, rumpled white bed, one arm raised above her head and the other stretched toward the edge of the sheets. Loose, feathery brushwork renders the soft folds of the linens and pale pillows, with a corner of floral wallpaper visible at left. The painting is titled Le grand lit, by Alfred Philippe Roll, dated 1912.
