About this work
A painted landscape shows a dark, rippling stream winding between slender trees with pinkish trunks and sparse yellow-green foliage. In the foreground, a grassy bank with rocks and small white flowers leads the eye toward the water, while distant hills fade into a muted sky. Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz painted this work, titled Stream at Olcza, in 1908.
