About this work
A watercolor botanical study by Royal Charles Steadman dated 1916 shows a whole green pear with a brown stem beside a halved pear revealing its cream-colored flesh and dark brown seed. The drawing is set within a thin ruled border, with the handwritten label and dates in the lower corners.
