About this work
A watercolor botanical study shows a whole pear with a brown stem and speckled golden-yellow skin above a cut half revealing pale flesh, seeds, and a core. The sheet bears handwritten labels with the variety name Deweys Premium, the collector James S. Robinson, and the Horticultural Experiment Station at College Park, Maryland.
