About this work
A watercolor of a Bartlett pear shown cut in half lengthwise, revealing pale flesh, a central core, and two brown seeds on a soft grey shadow. The fruit's green stem extends from the top, and the sheet carries handwritten labels with the variety name, a catalogue number, and the artist's signature dated 1905.
