About this work
A watercolor study shows a whole pear with a curved brown stem, its skin blushed red on one side and yellow-green speckled on the other, with a cut half below revealing pale flesh, a dark central seed cavity, and a small calyx at the base. The signature appears in pencil at the lower left of the sheet.
