About this work
A watercolor botanical study by Royal Charles Steadman dated 1926 shows a whole pear with a yellow-green skin blushed red on one side, alongside a halved pear revealing pale flesh and dark seeds. The fruit is set against a cream background framed by a stepped geometric border, and the artist's signature and date appear in the lower right corner.
